Discover DCSI 2019 took place on January 29-30, 2019. It is an in-house conference where students, professors, and faculty members show their current research, no matter the stage it is in, to peers in the faculty.
GEM Lab presented three of the projects currtenly in development. Hubert Hu‘s presentation was about his research on peripherical visual cues in Virtual Reality, which is part of the project GEM Lab is working on alongside Ubisoft Halifax. Luis Cordero’s presentation was also part of the project with Ubisoft Halifax, his research involves passive interaction in Virtual Reality through Brain Computer Interfaces and haptics with Movement Sensing Gloves. The final presenter was Shivam Mahajan, his research involves mapping virtual worlds to reality with Augmented Reality.
