Research assistantship available at GEM Lab

The Graphics and Experiential Media (GEM) Lab at Dalhousie University is seeking student candidates for a paid 6-month research assistantship for a project exploring novel interaction modalities in virtual reality (VR). This work meets the research project requirements for the MACS project stream or could form the basis of an undergraduate honours thesis.

Responsibilities will include literature review of related work, and design and prototyping of new VR interaction techniques using cutting-edge VR hardware, brain-computer interfaces, and sensors for tracking gaze, hands, and body. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Malloch and Dr. Reilly of GEMLab and Ubisoft Halifax.

Candidates with experience developing VR applications or games in Unity will be preferred.
